Movement & the Art of Falling with Rachel

Tuesdays 12.00-12.50, all are welcome

Instructor:  Rachel Narowlansky

Rachel started prating the martial art of Aikido 15 years ago when she was in her 40’s. She now holds her 3rd dan and trains and teaches regularly. Having started a martial art in later years, Rachel has learned how to navigate a changing body with grace and joy. Through her practice, she has learned the profound impact even the smallest movements and adjustments can have on stability and confidence.

Rachel is a supportive and insightful teacher who creates a friendly and comfortable environment for people to be their best.

We will start each session with a warm-up focused on body awareness, stretching, balance and breathing.  The core content will incorporate many of the fundamental principles of Aikido in order to better understand movement, positioning, and using our bodies as a whole.

Being mindful and intentional, while gently challenging your body and your fears, will be key to learning this Movement & The Art Of Falling class.

Come in comfortable clothing, what you would wear to the gym, but no shorts, please.  It’s likely you’ll get warm during class, so layers are ideal.
